Attorney Nancy C. Stanton has been practicing law for over twenty-six years and specializes in all areas of family law, personal injury cases and criminal law.
She is licensed in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, as well as the Federal District Courts for both states. Attorney Stanton is the former President of the Bristol County Bar Association and Fall River Bar Association. Attorney Stanton was also the first recipient of the Massachusetts Bar Association Centennial Award for outstanding community service in the law. Attorney Stanton is a certified Conciliator and has performed in that capacity for both the District Court and the Probate & Family Court.
Attorney Stanton has been a speaker for the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education Program and has written articles on Interstate Custody Issues and on Insurance Coverage for Automobile Accidents.
Attorney Mary Jeanne Stone is a sole practitioner, and is of Counsel to the Law Office of Nancy C. Stanton. She has been a practicing attorney for 28 years. She focuses on Family Law, Bankruptcy, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Social Security Disability and Worker's Compensation.
Attorney Stone is a Past President of the Bristol County Bar Association. She is a member of the Joint Bar Committee on Judicial Appointments and a Board Member of the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation (MLAC). Attorney Stone has lectured for the American Bankruptcy Institute, as well as for the Massachusetts Bar Association. Attorney Stone is a Massachusetts Bar Association Fellow, and also serves on its IOLTA Grants Committee.
She regularly serves as a Guardian Ad Litem in disputed custody cases and is a volunteer ARC attorney.
